ARTIST BIO
JENNA RODRIGUEZ is currently the Victor Hammer Fellow at The Book Arts Center at Wells College in Aurora, New York. She is teaching a variety of bookbinding classes and will being teaching papermaking in the fall semester. Papermaking is new to the program and in conjunction with this new class; she is transforming a greenhouse attached to the Books Arts Center into a papermaking garden/lab.
She is originally from Virginia where she received her BFA in Printmaking at Old Dominion University. This was where she experienced her first letterpress class and found a life-long love. Under Professor Ken Daley's tutelage, her craft and skill took shape in all areas of printing. Jenna continued her studies at Columbia College Chicago where she received an MFA in the Interdisciplinary Book and Paper Arts program. She was a print production fellow for two years at the Center for Book and Paper Arts where she assisted Brad Freeman in the production of the Journal of Artist Books (JAB). She taught letterpress printing at Spudnik Press in Chicago and Columbia College Chicago.
